United Kingdom, Jan. 14 -- Kiefer Sutherland has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a rideshare driver, according to police.

The 59-year-old actor was detained at Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood on Monday (12.01.26) following the alleged incident.

According to NBC News, Los Angeles Police Officer Kevin Terzes said by email: "The investigation determined that the suspect, later identified as Kiefer Sutherland, entered a rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats toward the victim."

The officer added that the victim had not sustained injuries requiring medical treatment.
