United Kingdom, Oct. 29 -- Kate Hudson feels proud to have put her family before her career.

The 46-year-old actress admits that she's always prioritised her children - Ryder, 21, Bingham, 13, and Rani, seven - even though it's hurt her career at times.

The Hollywood star told Variety: "There are sacrifices I've made along the way to be at home, a lot of opportunities I had to say no to, which came as an easy no.

"But as Rani started to get older, it was time to start making career decisions that I felt like I could make. And I got really lucky that I could make them not based on money."

Kate thinks she's evolved markedly over the last 20 years, and she's now more willing to take risks in her professional life.
