United Kingdom, April 14 -- Kate Beckinsale has thanked the cast and crew of her latest movie for "holding her up" during "tough" days away from her sick mother.

The actress has been looking after her mom Judy as she battles cancer but she's been having to spend time apart from her as she's been busy working on a new film project - and Kate has now applauded her co-workers for helping her through the difficult shoot.

In a post on Instagram, Kate shared pictures from the set and wrote: "It's a wrap. Thank you to our extremely special cast and crew of this unique and exciting film, and those extra special angels who held me up during a tough time for me to be shooting long days away from my mama.
