United Kingdom, March 6 -- Joshua Jackson is "excited" about making a fresh start after his house burned down.

The 'Doctor Odyssey' star's abode in Topanga Canyon - which he lived in for the first eight years of his life and then bought as an adult in 2001 -was destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires in January and though he was devastated to see such a significant part of his life go up in flames, he is trying to look on the bright side and is looking forward to creating a new home for his and ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith's four-year-old daughter Juno.
