United Kingdom, Oct. 24 -- Jon Bon Jovi has compared recovering from a vocal cord injury to training for a marathon.
The rocker feared he would never be able to perform again after one of his vocal cords "atrophied" and the other was "dying" but he underwent surgery in 2022 and has since been working hard to recover his voice admitting the road has been "long and tough" but he's ready to get back on tour with the band.
During an interview on the Today show, Bon Jovi explained: "One of my cords was atrophied, and the strong one was pushing the weak one around, and this one was dying. The road's been long and tough, but I persevered."
