United Kingdom, Oct. 1 -- Jimmy Fallon will continue to avoid being too "political" on The Tonight Show.

The 51-year-old presenter has revealed how he plans to tackle the current climate with pressure from the Donald Trump administration against several late night chat show hosts following the suspension and reinstating of Jimmy Kimmel.

Appearing on CNBC's Squawk on the Street, Fallon said: "Our show has never really been that political, you know.

"We hit both sides equally, and we try to make everybody laugh, and that's really the way our show works.

"Our monologues are kind of the same that we've been doing since Johnny Carson was hosting The Tonight Show. So really, I just keep my head down and make sure the jokes are funny."
