United Kingdom, Sept. 16 -- Jamie Lee Curtis broke down in tears talking about the death of Charlie Kirk.

The 66-year-old actress - who is an outspoken Democrat and found the right wing political activist's views "abhorrent" - still became emotional as she reflected on his murder last week aged 31.

Speaking on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, she said: "I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died, that he felt connected with his faith."

The Freakier Friday star started to cry as she added: "Even though I find what he, his ideas were abhorrent to me. I still believe he's a father and a husband and a man of faith.
