United Kingdom, Sept. 18 -- Brad Everett Young, the Hollywood actor and photographer, has died after a crash aged 46.

Best known for his role in Grey's Anatomy, the star was travelling on the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles when the tragedy happened.

The vehicle being driven by Brad was struck by a car travelling in the wrong direction on the busy motorway, according to his representative.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other motorist was taken to hospital with injuries.

Brad, born on 16 January 1977, was widely known in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera.

As a photographer, his work appeared in major publications including Vanity Fair, Vogue and The Hollywood Reporter.
