United Kingdom, Jan. 12 -- Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart is mourning the loss of his "little brother" Bob Weir.
The band's guitarist died on Saturday (10.01.26) at the age of 78 just months after being diagnosed with cancer in July 2025 and he's now been remembered by his bandmate Hart who shared a poignant tribute to his friend of almost 60 years.
In a post on Instagram, Hart wrote: " Bob Weir was a little brother to me for almost sixty years. He was my first friend in the Grateful Dead.
"We lived together, played together, and made music together that ended up changing the world."
