United Kingdom, March 24 -- George Clooney feels too old for romantic comedies.

The 63-year-old actor is to play newsman Edward R. Murrow in the Broadway adaptation of his movie 'Good Night, and Good Luck' and he explained he is at a stage in his life where he now has the "gravitas" for the role, which he didn't when he directed the 2005 film, which starred David Strathairn.

But George explained that also means there are roles he once played that he no longer feels suited for.

Speaking on '60 Minutes', he said: "Murrow had a gravitas to him that at 42 years old I didn't - I wasn't able to pull off.

"Look, I'm 63 years old. I'm not trying to compete with 25-year-old leading men. That's not my job. I'm not doing romantic films anymore."...
