United Kingdom, Nov. 27 -- Dolly Parton didn't understand "sex appeal" until she met Johnny Cash.

The Jolene hitmaker has recalled how she was "starstruck" when she first encountered the late country singer at the age of 13 when he introduced her debut performance at Nashville's famous Grand Ole Opry.

Dolly, 79, told People: "I was starstruck with Johnny Cash - that was when he was young.

"I was a young girl, and that was the first time I ever knew or understood what sex appeal was, or that feeling that made you just feel all kinds of things all over your body."

The country music icon explained that she had "had little crushes on boyfriends" when she was young, but her hormones truly started to "rage" when she met the Ring of Fire hit...
