United Kingdom, Feb. 8 -- Christy Carlson Romano was "shot in the face" while taking her husband out for his birthday.

The 40-year-old actress - who has been married to producer Brendan Rooney since 2013 - took her significant other clay pigeon shooting for his special day on Friday (07.02.25) but revealed a day later that she had sustained an injury during the day out due to the "unsafe firing" of another party and had to be rushed to hospital.
