United Kingdom, Feb. 15 -- Christopher Walken has insisted that he has a "very normal" life.

The 81-year-old actor - who has been married to former casting director Georgianne Thon since 1969 - has been a mainstay in Hollywood for decades but even though he has played a number of "troubled" characters in movies such as 'Annie Hall' and 'The Deer Hunter', admitted that he is a very down-to-earth person away from it all.

He told The Independent: " I just got identified with, you know, people who are troubled. to say the least.

"The facts of my life are that I've been married for over 50 years, I pay my bills, and I live in a house. I'm a very normal person."
