United Kingdom, March 24 -- Charlotte Church is returning to music.

The former child star, 39, has taken a step back from the spotlight in recent years and now focuses on running The Dreaming - a mansion in the Elan Valley where she runs wellness classes - but Charlotte has revealed she's planning to channel her new earth mother persona into her first new album in 15 years which will be more experimental than her classical roots or previous pop efforts.

She told the Guardian: "I'm going to release an album, hopefully, in 2026. I'm meeting indigenous elders in Peru, Burkina Faso, Australia . I want to sing about nature, healing and sisterhood.

"I want to create experiences. to really make people feel."
