United Kingdom, Feb. 3 -- Catherine Zeta-Jones still isn't sure if living away from Hollywood has been "detrimental to her career".

The 56-year-old actress - who has been married to fellow actor Michael Douglas, 81, since 2000 - has opened up on how living in New York City has impacted both her professional and personal life.

She told PEOPLE magazine: "It's funny. I've lived on the East Coast and for many, many years with Michael, and it's interesting whether it's been detrimental to my career.

"I never quite know, because I've never been in LA schmoozing."
