United Kingdom, Sept. 18 -- Ben Stiller, Kathy Griffin and Wanda Sykes are among the stars to offer support to Jimmy Kimmel after his talk show was pulled by ABC.

The network has decided to take the 57-year-old star's programme, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, off the air indefinitely after he suggested that Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah last week, was aligned to the Make America Great Again movement and a host of famous faces have spoken out to condemn the move and express their fears about the policing of freedom of speech in the US.

Ben shared a post about the announcement on X and wrote: "This isn't right."

Comic Kathy insisted it was "very important" to offer support to Jimmy.
