United Kingdom, Oct. 8 -- Microsoft has clarified that its latest round of Xbox Game Pass price increases will not affect existing subscribers in certain regions "for now".

The company confirmed that current Game Pass members in markets such as Germany, Ireland, India and South Korea will maintain their current pricing as of now, provided their auto-renewal remains active.

However, new subscribers - or those resubscribing after a cancellation - will be subject to the updated rates.

An email from Microsoft sent to subscribers in some regions reads: "At this time, these increases will only affect new purchases and will not affect your current subscription for the market in which you reside, as long as you are on an auto-recurring plan. ...
