United Kingdom, Feb. 3 -- The Nintendo Switch has officially overtaken the Nintendo DS to become the company's best-selling console of all time.
According to Ninendo's latest financial results - which cover the first nine months of FY2026 up to December 31, 2025 - the Switch has now sold 155.37 million units worldwide.
That narrowly surpasses the lifetime sales of the Nintendo DS, which stands at 154.02 million units after more than two decades on the market.
Nintendo shifted a further 3.25 million Switch units during the nine-month reporting period alone, underscoring the platform's remarkable longevity nearly nine years after launch.
