United Kingdom, Nov. 12 -- Nintendo and Illumination have released the first trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The teaser gives fans a first glimpse of the film's cosmic setting, new characters, and returning cast ahead of its theatrical release in April 2026.

Set among the stars, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - which is a sequel to 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie - follows Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad as they embark on an interstellar adventure beyond the Mushroom Kingdom.

The trailer also introduces Rosalina, voiced by Brie Larson, and her companion Luma, along with Bowser Jr., voiced by Bennie Safdie, as new central figures in the story.
