United Kingdom, Nov. 25 -- A Far Cry TV series is in development at FX.

Noah Hawley and Rob Mac are working on an anthology series based on Ubisoft's first-person shooter franchise that will also see the latter star.

The show will stream on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ internationally.

Precise plot details are not yet known, but the series will follow the same anthology format as the games with a different cast and setting for each season.

Rob - the creator of sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and a co-owner of football club Wrexham with Ryan Reynolds - said: "Getting to work alongside Noah Hawley is a dream realised.
