United Kingdom, Oct. 27 -- Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has been delayed.

The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 port of FromSoftware's iconic fantasy-RPG was due to release at some point this year, but the studio has now confirmed Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has been pushed back to 2026 to "allow time for performance adjustments".

In a statement posted on X, FromSoftware said: "While development on #ELDENRING Tarnished Edition continues wholeheartedly toward release, we have decided to move the launch to 2026 to allow time for performance adjustments.

"We apologize to players looking forward to the game and thank you for your patience and support."
