United Kingdom, Nov. 12 -- Square Enix has officially announced Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a full-scale remake of the beloved PlayStation classic.
The reveal opened Sony's November State of Play broadcast with a cinematic trailer showcasing the game's new "diorama-style" visuals - a richly detailed 3D art direction blending hand-crafted environments with modern lighting and animation.
The trailer also offered fans a glimpse of Estard Island, reimagined battles, and the time-travelling narrative that defined the 2000 original.
In Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, players reprise the role of a young fisherman's son who sets out from his peaceful island home and uncovers a forgotten world hidden in the past.
