United Kingdom, Nov. 18 -- Cities: Skylines publisher Paradox Interactive has parted ways with the franchise's developer Colosal Order.

The studio announced the two companies have "mutually decided to pursue independent paths" after working together on the city-building simulator series for over 15 years, with Iceflake Studios confirmed as the new developer for Cities: Skylines.

In a blog post on the Paradox Forum, the publisher's CEO Mattias Lilja said: "Our partnership with Colossal Order is one of the longest-running relationships we've enjoyed here at Paradox.

"Four games, dozens of expansions, and a community of millions of Cities players; it's remarkable how much we've achieved together.
