
Kenya, July 2 -- A lady assaulted the door of Parliament buildings on Monday morning, screaming and sobbing as she addressed a popular sitting member of Parliament, causing commotion on Parliament Road in Nairobi. Carrying a baby on her back, the lady yelled so loudly that it stopped traffic and caught the attention of onlookers, security, and reporters."Haukujua umeoa kinikula? The lady said, "Niambie huyu mtoto si wako!" and gestured to the ashamed MP who attempted to get by her. The MP, who is well-known for his audacious remarks in Parliament and frequent media appearances, had barely pulled into his government car when the incident started. Security guards tried to protect him, but the woman persisted in yelling at him, calling him a deadbeat father and a liar.She introduced herself as a 26-year-old single mother, Maureen Achieng, who claims to have met the MP two years prior at a political event in Kayole.
