Kenya, March 10 -- Two industrial properties linked to former Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina, alias Jungle, are set for auction on March 25, 2025.
The notice, published in the Daily Nation on March 10, invites bidders to participate at the auctioneer's offices on Karuna Road, Nairobi, from 11 a.m.
The properties, identified as Jungle Macs EPZ (Jungle 1) and Jungle Macs EPZ (Jungle 7), are located in Makongeni, Thika.
The first, on L.R. NO. 4953/1238, spans 1.93 acres and features go-downs, an office block, and a workshop.
The second, on L.R. NO. 6/1072, measures 2.46 acres and includes multiple go-downs, cold rooms, and office spaces. Both properties are equipped with mains electricity, water, and sewer connections.
Bidders must provide a Ksh10 million deposit via cash or banker's cheque to participate in the auctioning process.
The auction follows reports that Wainaina and a business partner defaulted on loans tied to their macadamia processing plants and other businesses.
