
Kenya, July 4 -- I never imagined that I would tell this tale. However, you may choose to speak up and demand change or remain silent and suffer when the person you love humiliates you in front of everyone. It took place during a family get-together. The room was filled with laughter. People were making jokes and sharing anecdotes about love and marriage. Then a light-hearted query was posed to my wife."How would you rank your husband in terms of bedtime?" She said, "Toka hapa wewe," and laughed aloud without even thinking. "Unabeba toothpick. Wacha tu." The laughter erupted throughout the room. I wasn't laughing, even though several others tried to lighten the mood. I felt like a joke.
