
Kenya, June 4 -- When I got the court summons, my hands shook so much that I dropped the envelope. My former business partner, Moses, had taken me to court for fraud.
After everything I had done for him, teaching him about the business, making him a co-director, and even helping him pay off his debts when we were just starting out, that's how he repaid me. He accused me of stealing money, forging documents, and ruining our contracts.
I knew I was telling the truth. But in this country, just having the truth isn't always enough. Moses came from a rich family with powerful connections.
