Kenya, Aug. 6 -- being lied to or realising that the life I built was based on lies. My name is Peter. I am 36 years old. For seven years, I was married to a woman I thought was meant for me. We met in church. She sang in the music group. She was always kind and always smiling. She made me believe in love again after a difficult breakup. We got married in 2016.

At that time, I had just started a job with the government. She was working part-time at a savings and credit cooperative. We didn't have much money, but we had each other, or so I believed. From the start, we agreed on one important thing: we wanted children.
