Kenya, March 12 -- The identity of a man who died after jumping from the seventh floor of a building in Nairobi has been established.

The managing director of an insurance company located at 4th Avenue, Ngong Road, died by suicide at 01:00 hrs after jumping from the 7th floor.

Police identified him as Sammy Methu Kiragu, the Chief Executive Officer of Sedgwick Insurance Brokers.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at 4th Avenue Towers on Fourth Ngong Avenue, where the company has its offices.

Although the firm operates from the 14th floor, witnesses said Kiragu took a lift to the seventh floor before leaping to the ground floor.

Police officers arrived at the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.

The motive remains unclear.

Sedgwick Insurance Brokers has operated in Kenya for over 40 years, providing insurance services to clients in sectors such as aviation, construction, media, and financial services.
