
Kenya, May 29 -- For six years, I felt great pain inside me. To everyone else, we seemed like the perfect couple. We smiled at family events, shared anniversary photos, and went to weddings together.
But when we were alone, we faced a struggle that nobody could see. This struggle took away my peace and my confidence and almost ruined my marriage.
We could not have a baby. It started slowly. The doctor said, "Give it time." A year went by, then another. I felt the looks from family, the fake smiles at baby showers, and the quiet talks at family gatherings. People would give me advice-some helpful, others made me feel judged.
We tried everything: hormone treatments, special diets, and supplements. I counted my cycles like it was a matter of life and death. Visits to the hospital became a normal part of my life.
