Kenya, May 22 -- Senator Samson Cherargei from Nandi has called for Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen to resign immediately. He says that Murkomen's lack of ability is putting people's lives at risk.

In a strong statement, Cherargei criticized Murkomen's leadership, saying that problems in the Ministry of Interior have serious effects on safety.

"Having someone who is not good at their job in the Ministry of Interior is very dangerous because it can lead to people getting hurt or even dying," Cherargei said.

"When roads have issues, they can be fixed later. But if people die because of poor decisions, they cannot come back. This minister needs to be held responsible. Murkomen must resign."

Cherargei's comments come at a time when many people are upset about security problems and failures in management related to the ministry.

He stressed that the responsibilities in the Ministry of Interior are too important for mistakes, and he is calling for quick action to solve the problems.

Murkomen has not yet answered the senator's demand for his resignation. The Ministry of Interior has also not provided an official response to the accusations.
