Kenya, March 16 -- The Powerball jackpot is getting bigger because no one won it in the last drawing on Saturday night, March 15. The winning numbers for the $378 million jackpot were 12, 28, 33, 36, 54, and the Powerball number was 5, with a Power Play multiplier of 3x.

Since there was no big winner, the jackpot is now estimated to be $400 million for the next drawing on Monday, March 17. The cash option for this prize is about $188 million.

The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) said that even though nobody won the jackpot, some players won big prizes.

One ticket sold in Texas matched all five white balls, winning $1 million. Also, two tickets-one from California and one from Ohio-won $50,000 each by matching four white balls and the Powerball.

In California, prize amounts can be different because of how the state pays out, and officials haven't shared the exact numbers for those wins yet.

The drawing on Saturday, shown live at 10:59 p.m. ET, was the eighth time in a row that the jackpot did not have a winner. The last time someone won the jackpot was on January 18 when a ticket in Oregon won $328.5 million.

As the jackpot grows, more people are buying tickets. Players are going to stores and using online platforms like Jackpocket in states where it's available.

"It's getting exciting out there," said Lisa Monroe, a cashier at a convenience store in Arlington, Virginia. "Everyone wants to be the next big winner."

Powerball tickets cost $2 each. There is also an optional Power Play feature for $1, which can increase the amount of certain non-jackpot prizes.

Drawings happen every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, but sales end one to two hours before the drawing, depending on the state.

Players can check their numbers on the official Powerball website, state lottery apps, or at local retailers.

The next opportunity to win is on Monday night, and lottery officials remind everyone to play responsibly. "It only takes one ticket to change your life," said MUSL spokesperson Anna Carter, "but always have fun."

With the jackpot getting bigger, many people are talking about it on social media, sharing their lucky numbers and hopes for the next drawing.
