Kenya, May 21 -- On Wednesday, police went to Mukuru kwa Njenga to remove residents from their homes. This happened just one day after President William Ruto opened 1,080 affordable housing units in the area.

On Tuesday, May 20, President Ruto handed over the first homes in the Mukuru Social Housing Project, which covers 56 acres. He called this event an important moment in his career.
