Kenya, April 9 -- On Tuesday afternoon, ODM-nominated MP Umi Harun and EALA MP Falhada Iman from UDA, representing Garissa County, were involved in a physical altercation at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi.

The incident, which was captured on video and widely shared on social media, showed the two MPs engaging in a fight. Two other MPs attempted to intervene and separate them during the altercation.

A heated altercation broke out in the Parliament buildings today when Umi Harun, a nominated Member of Parliament from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), and Falhada Iman, a representative of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), were caught on camera engaging in a physical confrontation.

The incident, which unfolded in full view of stunned onlookers, disrupted parliamentary proceedings and sparked widespread outrage. Video footage circulating online shows the two lawmakers exchanging harsh words before the argument escalated into a physical scuffle.

Legislative staff and fellow MPs quickly intervened to separate the pair, but not before the altercation drew sharp attention to the growing tensions within the political sphere.

Details surrounding the cause of the dispute remain unclear, with both parties yet to issue official statements. However, sources allege that the politicians were fighting over love affairs.

More sources report that the confrontation stemmed from a disagreement during a parliamentary session fuelled by the love row between the legislators.
