Kenya, June 30 -- Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of the Wiper Party, has talked about his relationship with Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement.

He says there won't be any new political agreement with Raila, who was once his partner in the Azimio coalition.

In an interview on Kameme TV, Kalonzo expressed his disappointment with Raila's decision to join President William Ruto's government, which he called a betrayal.

He said, "Raila should think about what he has done. You can't just leave your team like that. Kenyans did not expect this from him. I won't call it a betrayal, but he should think about his actions."

When asked about his current relationship with Raila, Kalonzo said they do not meet often. "I am a national leader, and if he calls me, we can talk, but that's as far as it goes.

"I don't see us making any political plans together right now. I have my own team, and if Raila wants to be involved, he needs to figure that out himself," he added.

Kalonzo also shared his sadness that Raila left the fight for freedom and mentioned the risks they have faced under Ruto's government. He reminded people that he supported Raila in three elections, even though he himself was not on the ballot.

Remembering the struggles they went through together, he said, "In 2023, there were threats against us, and we survived.

"That's why I feel hurt when someone just walks away from the fight. How can you let down the people who supported you?"

Kalonzo made it clear that people should not think he will join Ruto just because Raila did. "I'm not changing my position. I stand with the people," he stated.
