Kenya, July 18 -- Nilikosa school fees nikauza TV kumbe mtoi si wangu. Outside the school gate, a man breaks down and wants a live DNA test on Facebook. Doing the right thing had always been important to Peter Njoroge. He was a devoted father who supported his son Liam by working long hours as a mechanic in Ruaka. He ensured that food was on the table, birthday cakes were cut, and school fees were paid even when business was slow and bills were piling up. He did this at the expense of his personal needs.However, things became difficult in early June. Debts increased, work stalled, and Liam's school demanded immediate payment to prevent punishment. Peter took the agonising choice to sell his sole TV for 7,000 shillings since he had no money left. "I couldn't let my son be chased from school," he stated, despite the pain.
