Kenya, July 31 -- I used to think it was silly when people said that dreams mean something. I thought those ideas came from nervous grandmothers telling stories. But now, I'm not laughing anymore. A dream almost ruined my life. My name is Joyce, and I live in Umoja, Nairobi. When I moved into my own small apartment last year, it felt like I was finally free. I had my own space, some peace, and a job I loved.

But slowly, everything started to go wrong. It began with nightmares. I kept dreaming of the same thing over and over. I would see an old woman dressed in a red wrap, sitting at the edge of my bed. She never spoke, just stared at me. Her face didn't look angry, but it didn't look like a normal person either. I would wake up scared, sweating, and feeling heavy in my chest. At first, I thought it was just stress. I kept telling myself, "You're just worrying too much. It's only work pressure." To read more click here.
