Kenya, Feb. 22 -- Murang'a Mobile dialysis truck gains traction online with locals saying it was genius to solve health problems in rural areas under Governor Irungu Kang'ata.

Murang'a County introduced a new mobile dialysis unit today at Kirwara Hospital in Gatanga. This special truck will help people in rural areas get better access to important kidney treatment.

The project was led by Governor Irungu Kang'ata. He wants to make it easier for patients who have trouble getting to regular medical centers.

At the launch event, many local leaders, healthcare workers, and community members celebrated this important step in improving healthcare for everyone.

Governor Kang'ata called the mobile dialysis truck a "game-changer." He said it will help people living in areas where dialysis services are very limited or not available at all.

"This is about reaching people where they are-bringing hope and care to every part of Murang'a," he stated during the event.

The truck is equipped with modern dialysis machines and will travel around the county to help communities that need it most in Gatanga and nearby places.

Health officials believe this service could help hundreds of patients who previously had to travel long distances to get treatment in cities like Murang'a town or Thika, which often costs a lot of time and money.

Many residents and health advocates have welcomed this initiative. Mary Wanjiku, a local resident whose husband requires regular dialysis, expressed joy at this new service.

"This will save us time, money, and stress. We've been struggling for so long," she said. The medical staff at Kirwara Hospital also praised this new service, calling it a good solution to a big problem in rural healthcare.

While the county government has not shared the exact cost of the mobile unit, they confirmed that this is part of a larger plan to improve medical services under Governor Kang'ata's leadership.

There are plans to schedule regular trips for the truck, and more details will be shared soon.

This launch is part of ongoing efforts by different counties in Kenya to improve healthcare. Murang'a is now setting an example that other counties may want to follow.

As the mobile dialysis truck gets ready to start its journey, everyone will be watching to see how it helps people in Murang'a's rural areas in the coming months.
