Kenya, April 14 -- A surprising event happened in Migori County yesterday when an unknown man grabbed onto the landing gear of a helicopter as it took off during a wedding party for the musician Prince Indah.

The helicopter was carrying popular YouTuber Oga Obinna, who was attending the wedding, when the man held on, creating a big safety risk.

People who saw it say that the helicopter went up a little with the man hanging on, but the pilot was very skilled and flew it to a nearby farm, where the man got off safely.

Videos shared on X showed the scary moment, with the man hanging onto the helicopter as it flew low. Local people who saw it celebrated the man's brave act after he landed safely, with some calling him a hero.

"It was like a scene from a movie," said James Okoth, a guest at the wedding. "We were all shocked, but thankfully the pilot stayed calm, and no one got hurt."

Authorities have not said yet if the man will face charges for putting himself and others in danger, but some believe he got caught up in the excitement of the big event.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority reminded everyone about the dangers of interfering with flying vehicles.

"Such actions are very risky and could have terrible results," the statement said.

Police in Migori are looking into the incident to understand the man's reasons and whether there were enough security measures at the event.
