Kenya, Aug. 31 -- On a quiet Sunday afternoon, a startling event gripped our village. The church buzzed with worshippers until a woman, long plagued by eerie behaviours, stepped forward for prayers. Her battles with witchcraft spirits were no secret-nightly screams, mysterious ailments, and unexplained hostility from kin and neighbours. As the pastor placed his hands on her, chaos erupted.
She collapsed, shrieking, "Uuuu! Uuuu! Naitoa pole pole! People, come and witness!" Her piercing cries drew crowds from nearby homes and markets, flooding the church compound. Writhing on the ground, her trembling voice seemed to battle unseen forces. Children hid behind their mothers, men stood frozen, and murmurs rippled through the crowd: Could she ever break free? The pastor, unshaken, prayed with unwavering calm. After tense minutes, her screams faded. Silence fell. Sitting up, tears streaming, she declared in a shaky voice that the witchcraft spirits had fled. The church exploded in joyous praise, hailing the miracle they'd just witnessed.
