Kenya, May 21 -- A surprising event happened in the busy Daraja Mbili market area of Kisii town that has left many residents shocked. A man and a woman were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital on Thursday after they reportedly got physically stuck together after being intimate in a local lodge.
This strange incident occurred on March 13, 2025, and it has attracted a lot of attention from people nearby.
Witnesses say that the couple, whose names are not known, were found in distress in a guest room at the West Gauge Hotel. Local authorities were quickly called to help.
Some sources suggest the couple were having a private moment when they found themselves unable to separate, leading to their cries for help that alerted people nearby.
"It was chaotic-many people gathered outside; some were curious and others tried to help," said a local trader who wanted to stay anonymous.
Police officers from Kisii Central Station, led by the Deputy Officer in Charge, came to the scene and confirmed what had happened.
The couple was taken to the hospital with police escort, covered by a sheet to protect them from the growing crowd. Medical staff at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital were attending to them.
Local news reports say that some believe this incident might be connected to a traditional charm or potion, with some speculating that it was done by a person who felt wronged, seeking help from a local witch doctor.
There have been similar incidents in Daraja Mbili before, including one in 2016 where a couple found themselves in a similar situation, allegedly because a charm was used to reveal cheating. In that case, a witch doctor was paid to fix the problem.
The situation has started conversations about infidelity and the use of traditional practices in modern relationships.
Social media is full of comments about the incident, with some people feeling sorry for the couple's public embarrassment, while others see it as a lesson.
"This shows why trust is important in relationships," said a local person, sharing a common feeling among many.
The Kisii County Police Commander did not share specific details about the incident, citing privacy concerns, but urged people not to take the law into their own hands.
Meanwhile, the Daraja Mbili community is still buzzing, with traders and residents sharing stories about this unusual event in the market's history.
