Kenya, May 31 -- A sad event has happened at Kenya Utalii College. A student was found dead in their hostel room on Friday morning, just days after they were reportedly attacked by security staff on campus.
The student was found unresponsive by other students, which led college officials and police to quickly respond.
Early reports suggest that the student had a fight with campus security officers earlier in the week.
Witnesses say the student was physically hurt during the confrontation, but the exact details are still unclear. Some people at the college believe the fight started over rules about the hostel and got out of hand.
The college administration confirmed the student's death in a statement on Friday evening. They expressed sadness and promised to cooperate with the investigation fully.
