Kenya, April 15 -- The Miami Dolphins are looking to trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey. They think he might play for another team by the 2025 season.

Ramsey will make $25.1 million next season, and this money is guaranteed, meaning he will get it no matter what. The Dolphins might trade him before the NFL Draft, which is in just nine days.

This move is part of the Dolphins' plan to better manage their salary cap and possibly rebuild the team by trading away some expensive players.

Some people in the league believe that because Ramsey is 30 years old and has a big contract, any team that trades for him might only give a late-round draft pick in return.

The Dolphins hope to let go of high-value contracts like Ramsey's to focus on building a stronger team for the future.

Ramsey came to the Dolphins from the Los Angeles Rams in 2023 and has been an important player on their defence. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl in each of his two seasons with the team.
