Kenya, Feb. 9 -- The tech community is abuzz with the latest updates on Apple's next budget-friendly smartphone, the iPhone SE 4. Based on multiple reports, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to hit the market in March 2025.

There's been some back-and-forth on the exact timing, but a consensus leans towards an early spring launch.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to adopt the design elements of the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch, signalling a departure from the previous SE models' design.

This would be a significant upgrade in terms of screen quality and aesthetics.

Processor and AI: Expected to be powered by the A18 Bionic chip, the same chip that drives the iPhone 16 series, suggesting that the iPhone SE 4 will not skimp on performance.

It's also speculated to include 8GB of RAM, ensuring it's capable of running Apple's new AI features, known as Apple Intelligence.

Camera Upgrades: A leap forward in camera technology is anticipated with a 48MP single rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera, an upgrade from the current SE's 12MP and 7MP, respectively.

This could bring it more in line with the photographic capabilities of Apple's higher-end models.

Connectivity: The device is rumoured to feature Apple's first in-house 5G modem, promising faster and more efficient data speeds while potentially improving battery life.

Battery and Charging: A 3,279mAh battery is expected, which would be a notable increase over its predecessor, coupled with 20W wired and wireless charging capabilities.

Pricing: There's talk of a price hike, with the starting price possibly around $499 in the U.S., though this would still position it as a budget option compared to Apple's flagship devices.

Additional Features: An Action button similar to those on recent iPhone models might be included, alongside a USB-C port for charging, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and possibly a new name, "iPhone 16E"
