Kenya, June 29 -- For weeks, I had a hunch that something wasn't right. Perhaps even longer. However, when you genuinely love someone, you know how it goes. You're always coming up with excuses. You tell yourself you're thinking too much. That your insecurities could be speaking. Perhaps you are the paranoid one. That's precisely how I found myself continuing to be in a relationship that was already shattered without seeing the extent of the harm.He was different. The length of calls decreased. Late or nonexistent texts began to arrive. His explanations became more drawn out than his dialogue. I enquired about it a few times before giving up after repeatedly being dismissed. I didn't say anything, but I wasn't calm inside. There was a persistent nagging in my heart that something was amiss. Then, one Saturday night, it was all verified.
