
Kenya, July 16 -- I nearly surrendered on my marriage. For three years, I lived in dread. Fear that one day I might return home and find my spouse gone. Fear that another lady had stolen my place. Fear that everything I had constructed was crumbling apart in front of me. My hubby changed slowly. At first, it was late nights with no reason. Then it became falsehoods, icy silence, and buried texts.
One day I followed my instinct and searched his phone. What I saw shattered me. He had been considering two other ladies. One of them even called him "my husband" in a message. I was devastated. I questioned him, but he denied it. He referred to me as insane despite the evidence. He started coming home late and occasionally never came home at all. Our kids started posing enquiries.
