Kenya, July 4 -- Kevin believed he had discovered his soulmate when he fell in love with Janet. They dated for three years after meeting at university. They spoke about beginning a life together after graduation, encouraged one another, and shared goals. However, things changed after only a year of looking for a job. Janet became aloof. No one answered the phones. Texts became icy.Later, Kevin learnt that Janet had moved on with an older man with connections and money. She silently departed without saying goodbye. He was overwhelmed by the anguish. He stopped going out. He erased every picture of them. People constantly asked him where "his wife" was, so he even stopped going to family events.
