
Kenya, Aug. 5 -- I left my job at a busy law firm when my husband told me I should focus on being a wife and mother. He said, "We're building a future. We don't both need to work." I trusted him. I thought this was what love and support meant. So, I put away my dreams and worked hard to make our home a happy place. I took care of our two kids, managed the finances for his businesses, and helped him with his schedule.
His company grew bigger, and I felt proud of our success. But over time, I noticed some changes. He started coming home late, his phone was often face down, he spent a lot of time at the gym, and he took unexplained "business trips."
