Kenya, Feb. 25 -- Reality TV star Georgia Harrison faced a serious health crisis that almost cost her life. This situation became known as she dealt with the emotional effects of a leaked video incident.

Georgia, who is 30 and was on the reality show Love Island, had a dangerous health problem in 2020. She had a ruptured ovarian cyst that caused an infection spreading to several organs, including her kidneys, bladder, and pelvis.

The infection got worse because of sepsis, and it happened while she was alone in Dubai, unable to see her family due to Covid-19 lockdowns.

"I was told by the doctors that I was lucky to be alive. If I had waited one more night to get help, I wouldn't have made it," Georgia said.

This health scare followed a distressing event where her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Bear, secretly filmed and shared a private video of them without her permission on his OnlyFans account.

The video was released in late 2020 and had a huge negative impact on Georgia's life, causing her a lot of stress.

"I was isolating myself and not sleeping well. The stress affected my health," she explained in an earlier interview.

Stephen Bear, who won Celebrity Big Brother, was found guilty in March 2023 of voyeurism and sharing private photos and videos to hurt her.

He spent 10 and a half months in prison out of a 21-month sentence and was ordered to pay Georgia over £22,000 in profits he made from the video, plus £5,000 in compensation.

This case was important in the fight against revenge porn, and Georgia chose to reveal her identity to push for better protections.

Recently, she spoke about how the video still affects her life. In her new ITV documentary, Georgia Harrison: Porn, Power, Profit, which aired last week, she looked into the revenge porn industry and faced the fact that the footage is still online.

"Facing how widespread it is was very hard for me," she shared.

Georgia's story has started discussions about mental health, private life violations, and the pressures of being a public figure. Many fans and supporters have praised her strength, but as of Tuesday evening, there was no further comment from her representatives.

The news about her serious health crisis adds to an already tough time in Georgia's life.
