Kenya, March 15 -- Doctors and government workers in the area are getting ready to stop working on March 18, according to union leaders.

They are doing this because there are claims that the government took money from their salaries for healthcare but did not send it to the insurance companies.

This situation has left many workers without health insurance, causing anger among those affected.

Union leaders say that even though money has been taken from their pay cheques for months, the government has not sent this money to the healthcare programs, which puts workers' access to medical care at risk.

"Our members are suffering because of the government's mistakes," said a union spokesperson. "We have no choice but to strike until this problem is fixed."

The planned strike will likely cause big problems for public services, with hospitals and government offices getting ready for major difficulties.

So far, public service leaders and governors have not responded to the unions' claims, and tensions are rising as the date for the strike approaches.
